O evento que fomentou discussões de pesquisas com base em teorias vinculadas a sistemas dinâmicos, tem por objetivo, nesta quarta edição, integrar pesquisadores que fundamentam seus trabalhos na Fonologia Gestual e/ou na Teoria da Otimidade, visando a promover um maior diálogo entre as pesquisas que envolvem cada um desses modelos.

The São Paulo School of Advanced Studies in Speech Dynamics (SPSASSD) is a five-day event designed to foster speech research in Brazil by promoting dialogue between international and national experts and offering opportunities to talented students from all over the world.

Dinafon (from Portuguese Dinâmica Fônica, speech dynamics) is a Brazilian research group working on various aspects of language structure, acquisition, and use in light of Articulatory (or Gestural) Phonology. Topics of interest include dialectal variation, historical change, segment-prosody interaction, phonological acquisition and loss, speech in singing and acting. Languages of interest span the entire Brazilian territory as well as neighboring countries.
