Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate, graduate or post-doctoral students residing in Brazil (30 scholarships offered);
  2. Graduate or post-doctoral students residing in any country having diplomatic relations with Brazil (20 scholarships offered).

Requisites

  1. Anonymous two-page English language abstract on any topic related to the SPSASSD program (A4 paper, Times New Roman 12 font, 3 cm top and bottom margins, 2.5 cm right and left margins; pdf file format);
  2. Official transcripts (students only); or doctoral diploma (or any other proof of requirement completion) and résumé (post-doctoral fellows only);
  3. Recommendation letter from program advisor or research director/supervisor;
  4. Short, informal letter about your interest in SPSASSD (one-page maximum, English). You can focus on any topic in the program or on your interest in familiarizing yourself with the Brazilian academic environment (languages spoken across the country, future work opportunities in the state of São Paulo, etc). Dinafon stands for Dinâmica Fônica, i.e., speech dynamics, and expresses the research interests of a group of phonologists/phoneticians directed by Eleonora Albano.
